Home to the native Korwa Tribes, the city of Korba is situated on the banks of the Hasdo and Ahiran Rivers. The presence of these rivers has resulted in the setting up of several electricity generation plants from where electricity is supplied to most parts of Chhattisgarh. The dense forests of Korba are a rich source of exotic species of flora and fauna which are a major tourist attraction. Amongst the other tourist attraction are the temples, caves and waterfalls which are located a few minutes drive from the city. Hotels and government guest houses are available in Korba which offer a budget accommodation.
